Brantley has entered the 3-year-old preschool class and is adjusting wonderfully. In the first three weeks of school, they have spent their days talking about friends, learning how to get along, learning about friends' families, potty training, painting, playing, using the Smart Board, and becoming more independent. I was excited to hear him singing a new "tidy up" song at home and to see his class read The Rainbow Fish and decorate a big fish with lots of shiny fins. The things he learns at school are amazing!
Virginia is in the baby room, along with 7 other babies. She is doing so wonderful and we are SO proud! She takes all her bottles now without fussing and rolled over for the first time among her friends and teachers. I miss her more than words can describe when I'm at work, but the smile on her face when she sees me walk in to pick her up is probably one of the best feelings I've ever experienced. I want to bottle that feeling and keep it saved for a day when she is much older and not so happy to see me :) We are so lucky that she is healthy and happy. She consistently sleeps through the night, I hate to even admit that, and is so content to go with the flow. I'm sure one day she'll be more demanding. One thing is for sure, she is observant and strong. Look out world!
Here are some pictures as we end our summer and anticipate the fall. I'm ready for the cooler temps...goodbye 90 degrees. See you next year!
Look at the way she adores her big brother.
Ready for church and Virginia's baptism.
Zonked out, just after being baptized.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Brantley!
Time to learn how to ride a bike....there's our new van, too.
Under-the-sea cupcake cake.
Giggles and smiles.
The sprinkler is a survival-must during heatwaves.
Tummy time (look at those Blair ears).
Blair ears strike again!
