1 Month Old Today!
Virginia is already 1 month old today. I'm really ready for the days to start slowing down some, it's going by way too fast. We continue to adjust as a new family and things are getting better. Brantley is the sweetest older brother a girl could ask for. He kisses her when she cries, asks to hold her, shows her his batman toys, and worries when I leave her in the office when I drop him off at school. Virginia is thriving and setting a very high growth curve for herself. At her 2 week old appointment, she was up to 9 lbs and 21.75 inches long. The nurse was so astonished at her height that she remeasured. Looks like a Blair baby to me! I would definitely describe Virginia as an easy baby. She lets you know when she's not happy, but once you meet her needs, whether it's a new diaper, rocking her, feeding her, burping her, etc, she is happy and content. She is also shocking us by sleeping for long stretches at night. She is usually down by 11-12 and sleeps until 4-5. This is pretty amazing and not something we experienced with Brantley, so we thank her dearly for allowing us to sleep. We've had a great first month with our sweet angel and are so thankful for the gift of parenthood. It's hard, but it's seriously amazing.
Here is a picture from our 1 month old photo shoot this morning. We have many, many more to share, and hope to get those posted soon.
I can't help but post our 1 month picture of Brantley for comparison. They could be twins!
Be back soon.

Home with Virginia
Our first 2 weeks as a family of four has been great. We all had some adjusting to do as we respond to the needs of both Virginia and Brantley, but we are settling in now and getting used to all the new things. Brantley has been great with Virginia (he calls her Ginia, my baby, and baby sister) and is so sweet to her. He constantly showers her with kisses, hugs, and asks if she is happy or needs milk. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking. More to come!
